The Whenever Watersports Rental Management Platform project was initiated to replace a third-party rental solution that limited operational flexibility, customization capabilities, and long-term scalability. As the business expanded its self-service kayak rental operations across the United States, it required a technology platform specifically designed around its unique operational needs and future growth objectives.
IntelliCode partnered with Whenever Watersports to design and develop a fully customized BLE-enabled rental management ecosystem that provides complete ownership and control over the rental experience. The solution includes a customer-facing mobile application, a dedicated operations application for field teams, and a centralized web portal for managing rentals, locations, equipment, users, and day-to-day business operations.
To maximize flexibility and reduce hardware constraints, the platform was engineered to integrate seamlessly with third-party BLE lock devices. By leveraging Solebe lock protocols, IntelliCode developed a custom communication layer that enabled reliable interaction between external hardware and the proprietary software ecosystem.
Built on a scalable cloud architecture, the platform supports growing transaction volumes, expanding rental locations, and evolving business requirements. Today, Whenever Watersports operates hundreds of rental locations across the United States using a platform purpose-built to support operational efficiency, customer convenience, and long-term growth.
